After memories of his mother are stirred by one of the patients at OK Hospital, Patrick (Joshua Garcia) decides to drown in his grief and pain by having a drink with his best friend Jason (Francis Magundayao) after his shift. Meanwhile, at the mansion, Mia (Anne Curtis) waits for his arrival with the patience of someone almost playing the part of a girlfriend.
Patrick wobbles as he steps off the jeepney, and then smiles when he sees the string of messages from Mia, who is already growing frustrated after waiting so long without a single reply from him. Perhaps it’s the alcohol taking over, but he grins as he gazes at the pathway lined with tall grass leading up to the mansion. When he finally knocks on the door, Mia manages to catch him as he loses his balance.
The alcohol has obviously hit hard, drawing out a side of Patrick that is far more relaxed than usual, loosened up in a way Mia has never witnessed before. Smiling, she teases that if this is only a preview of his laid-back self, then she’s eager to see the full version, to which Patrick quips that all she’s getting for now is the trial version.
