Vincent (Enchong Dee) drowns his frustration at a karaoke bar, still fuming at Patrick (Joshua Garcia) for stopping him from taking Mia (Anne Curtis) back to Manila and even making him look bad by insinuating that his intentions are all about the money Mia pours into his publishing company.
He can’t accept how Patrick just brushed him aside like that, especially when he was there the first time Mia suffered through her nightmares, therefore he believes he knows exactly what to do to help her. Vincent even declares that he will never leave Mia because they are a team. As his rants grow louder, a woman from the stage interrupts him.
It turns out to be Gemma (Kaori Oinuma), drunk and just as desperate to vent her frustrations. While searching for a song, she breaks down and laments how the entire songbook is filled with love songs when, as she says, there’s no love in her life at all. Annoyed, Vincent confronts Gemma but his expression softens in surprise the moment he recognizes her.
What follows is a drunken quarrel about who’s truly to blame for Patrick and Mia growing closer. Vincent points a finger at Patrick and calls him a meddler in his and Mia’s team, while Gemma fires back that Vincent has failed in his role as manager because Mia wouldn’t have gone to Maravida if he had done his job properly. In the heat of her emotions, Gemma slaps Vincent twice before she collapses unconscious in his arms.
