Following his unexpected reunion with his former inmates, led by Tatang (Joonee Gamboa)—known as "Papang" outside prison and revealed to be the leader of the covert group "Anino"—Gabo (Coco Martin) heads back home.
Still reeling from their shocking revelations and the tempting offer they presented, Gabo is deep in thought when a sudden knock on the door interrupts him. However, when he checks outside, no one is there. Instead, he finds a mysterious black parcel resting on a table outside their house.
Gripping his father’s sword, Gabo storms outside and angrily demand his stunned and frightened neighbors to tell him who left the package, yet even them don’t know who was responsible.
Back inside Gabo opens the parcel and retrieves a tablet sealed inside an envelope, along with portraits of two men, who are later identified as Victor "Tigre" Zafra (JM de Guzman)—the target of his first mission—and his client, Mr. Chan. As he switches on the tablet, a prerecorded video of Papang begins to play, explaining that by watching the message, Gabo has already accepted the assignment.
In the video, Papang reveals that Victor is the leader of the country's largest gold-smuggling syndicate, responsible for abducting miners, forcing them to work at illegal mining sites, and eventually killing them. He also introduces Mr. Chan, a prominent jewelry businessman based in Chinatown.
Papang then lays out Gabo’s mission: to capture Victor and bring him to Anino, dead or alive. In return, Gabo will receive a reward of P100,000 upon completing the assignment—a task Papang is certain he can accomplish.
