Discovering that the people he befriended during his time at the national correctional facility are not inmates at all, but rather the leader and key members of a covert group known as "Anino," is already a shocking revelation for Gabo (Coco Martin).
However, he is left even more stunned when they reveal that every hardship he endured behind bars was part of an elaborate test orchestrated by Tatang (Joonee Gamboa), also known as Papang, to determine whether he was worthy of joining their secret organization, which mission is to eradicate crime and evil from society. They also disclose that Jail Chief Macaraig (Jess Lapid Jr.) has been working with Anino all along, along with Pedro, whom Papang had instructed to stab Gabo during the prison riot as part of the test.
They deliberately subjected Gabo to a series of grueling challenges to determine whether he was truly the right person for their cause—and he did not disappoint. Instead, he proved his worth by enduring every trial they put him through without ever giving up. He not only impressed them with his exceptional combat skills, strength, and unwavering courage, but also with his steadfast convictions and principles, making him the ideal candidate to join their ranks.
After learning that everything had been orchestrated by Anino, Gabo could not hide his anger over the deception. However, Omeng (Dindo Arroyo) reminds him that he owes the group for securing his release from prison, pointing out that, given the gravity of the crime he was convicted of, his freedom would have been impossible without their intervention. Convinced that Gabo is merely a victim of a broken system, Papang remains confident that he will eventually choose to stand alongside Anino.
