It's Ashley Sarmiento’s birthday! To make her special day more fun and extra memorable, the housemates of “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0” prepared simple yet special performances for her.
The celebration kicked off with the male housemates taking the floor, entertaining Ashley with a funny yet adorable song-and-dance number. They were soon followed by the female housemates, who sang “Comma”, which, unbeknownst to the birthday girl, was a composition by her three beloved sisters that they specially wrote just for her.
Midway through the girls’ live performance, they suddenly stopped singing as Kuya suddenly played the video of Ashley’s beloved older siblings—Jazz, Faith, and Venice—singing the song, which encapsulates their lovely close-knit bond as sisters growing up together.
“Lumaki po talaga ako na kasama ko po sila bata palang po ako kahit po magkaiba kami ng dad. Kami po lumaki po kami sa mom ko and growing up never ko naman din po na-feel na half-siblings lang po kami. Sobrang close po talaga namin sa isa’t isa. Para po talaga akong may instant BFFs,” Ashley told Kuya about her relationship with her sisters.
She also reminisced about how they played with her when she was still a kid despite their huge age gaps, as well as how they’ve been so fond of dolling her up.
The “Longing Sweetheart ng Las Piñas” added, “Malaking bagay po para sa akin na nakatanggap po ako ng gano’ng klaseng sorpresa mula po sa family ko, sa mga kapatid ko. Kapag birthday ko po talaga, ‘yong family ko po hindi po sila nakakalimot na lagi akong i-surprise lalo na po sa midnight. Ngayon po na malayo ako sa kanila, natutuwa po ako na nabigyan pa rin po ako ng ganitong surprise po, Kuya, galing po sa family ko po.”
After serenading her, Ashley’s sisters also expressed their sweet yet short birthday messages and wishes for her.
