What seemed to begin as a simple discussion about betting their eggs among Joaquin Arce, Ashley Sarmiento, and Lella Ford quickly escalated into a major misunderstanding between Joaquin and Ashley, leaving Lella caught in the middle.
Avid viewers of “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0” certainly know that eggs have long served as the currency inside the house, especially whenever the eviction night draws near as they bet whether their closest nominated housemate would go out by the end of the week or not.
Since she was there when Joaquin raised his hand near Ashley’s face to stop her from speaking, not to mention that she’s close with both of them, Lella decided to meddle by talking to them separately and trying to mediate them. Although he had already apologized to her, Ashley couldn’t help but doubt his sincerity, especially after she found out that he had relayed their misunderstanding to other housemates, which made her suspect that he might be seeking validation from them.
During a conversation with Sofia Pablo, the “Rising Dreamer ng Muntinlupa” clarified that he did not ask for validation since it was their other housemates who asked him about the issue. Afterwards, he approached Ashley about what Sofia had just told him about being insincere with his apology, with some of their housemates watching them. Ashley told him that she no longer thought of him as insincere after learning what really happened and assured him that they were good.
Ashley, Sofia, Lella, and Princess Aliyah reflected on the incident, with Lella suggesting that it might help if she spoke to Joaquin directly, given that she has been one of his closest friends inside and outside the house. However, Ashley and Princess thought that it wasn’t a good idea, worrying that such a move could send the wrong message.
Inside the confession room, the “Blooming Bunso ng Tacloban” shared her dilemma with Big Brother, saying, “Honestly po, ang laki pong epekto nito sa akin kasi sobrang close ko po, Kuya, kay Joaquin, so ‘yong mga housemates sa akin po nagkukuwento. Sa posisyon ko po, medyo mahirap po talaga. Hindi ko po alam, honestly, kung saan po lulugar.”
