The nurses and doctors at OK Hospital are stunned when an unexpected visitor walks in—Bella (Bianca De Vera)'s ex-boyfriend, Jerome, who insists on talking to her. Whispers ripple through the staff and patients, with Tommy (Bodjie Pascua) pointing out that Jerome is the abusive ex responsible for Bella’s condition and medication. Cynthia (Alora Sasam) adds that Bella should already have a restraining order to keep him away.
Gemma (Kaori Oinuma) lets out a sigh and explains to the patients that it’s never that easy to cut off someone who once made you feel loved. She recalls how Bella’s parents have long been abroad, which led her to live with her ex in the hope of finding a family, only to end up suffering abuse at his hands.
Bella heads for the garden to escape Jerome, but he follows close behind. Frustration boils over as she resists his pleas, and suspicion fuels his rage when he assumes she’s moved on with someone else. Overcome with fury, he grabs her by the neck.
Hearing the commotion, Mia (Anne Curtis) steps in to defend Bella. She hurls her coffee at him and mocks his cruelty, saying only insecure men raise their hands against women. Enraged, Jerome slaps Mia and is about to strike her again when Patrick (Joshua Garcia) arrives and lands several punches on him. Patrick’s fury becomes uncontrollable until Matmat (Carlo Aquino) reminds him that violence never makes things right.
