A pack of ‘piaya’ tucked in his locker at the nurses’ room leaves Patrick (Joshua Garcia) puzzled. Pogi (Aljon Mendoza) tells him that such gestures can only mean two things—it’s either from someone who has feelings for him or from someone who owes him and wants to make up for it. Pogi even teased that his bet is Mia (Anne Curtis) being behind the little surprise.
But Patrick knows it isn’t from Mia. It’s Kai (Louise Abuel), who owns up to the gesture when asked about it, explaining that he sneaked the food to give to Patrick as a peace offering, thankful Patrick hasn’t told on him and Bella (Bianca De Vera) after catching them hiding away together inside the storage room.
Patrick seems willing to trust Kai’s promise that he and Bella will focus on getting better first and only make their romance official once they’re out of the facility. What catches Patrick off guard, though, is Kai’s heartfelt confession—how the world stops whenever Bella is near, how her face never leaves his mind, and how, no matter how many times he tells himself to pull away, he simply can’t.
Their exchange cuts to flashbacks of Patrick’s shared moments with Mia, those fleeting seconds when he feels something tugging him toward her. The scene ends with Patrick splashing water on his face before looking at his reflection in the mirror, wondering if he’s already in love with Mia.
