After an incident involving a patient at OK Hospital reminded him of his mother, Patrick (Joshua Garcia) drowns his sadness and pain over drinks with his best friend Jason (Francis Magundayao) after his shift.

Patrick finds Mia waiting for him as he arrives at the mansion. The two share a brief 'kilig' moment as Patrick hands her a handmade doll he calls Satsat, which he says can keep her company at night to ward off nightmares. Soon after, he heads upstairs to the room he shares with his brother Matmat (Carlo Aquino), who is already lying in bed.

Patrick hugs Matmat and tells his 'manong' that he’ll treat him to his favorite ‘batchoy,’ only for the elder one to correct him with sleepy honesty that his real favorite is ‘pancit molo,’ and that it is actually Patrick who has always had a fondness for ‘batchoy.’ Matmat even mimics how Patrick used to rave about the steaming bowl served at Maravida’s Original, the eatery they often visited as kids with their mother Tessie (Meryll Soriano). He recalls how their mother always pointed out that ‘batchoy’ was Patrick’s favorite, which is why she would take them there so often.

The brothers fall into shared memories of those simple moments with their mother over bowls of ‘batchoy.’ Just hours before, Patrick confided with Jason about his bitterness toward his mother, feeling she had been unfair by burdening him with heavy responsibilities and pouring more attention on Matmat.

But through Matmat’s stories, Patrick remembers that he, too, had been loved. Memories come rushing back—Tessie’s warmth as she set down a bowl of batchoy before him, her glance back under the rain to pull him under the umbrella after he thought she would leave him behind, and that night when he believed she was only fanning Matmat to sleep but she turned to him, caressed his face, and whispered that she's lucky to have a son like him. She had even apologized for always relying on him and promised she would make it up to him someday.

Back in the present, Patrick breaks down in tears, clutching Matmat tightly in his arms. Matmat comforts him, making a promise that his “manong” will always be by his side.
