On their way out of the restaurant, Mia (Anne Curtis) tried to get to know Patrick (Joshua Garcia) better and even volunteered to help him discover what could actually bring out the fun in him. But Patrick replied that instead of dwelling on him, she should focus on helping herself first.
To Mia, the road trip and dinner felt like they had just been on a date, though Patrick dismissed the idea. As they walked outside, he reached for his phone to check in on Matmat (Carlo Aquino). But before he could dial, he received Gemma (Kaori Oinuma)'s call which Mia mischievously answered and placed on loudspeaker. That’s when she learned Patrick had skipped work, which only fueled her ego. Mia teased her 'rival' by loudly proclaiming that there's a clear winner now.
Annoyed, Gemma hung up the call, leaving Patrick frustrated with Mia as well. He scolded her for what she had just done, and then grabbed her arm and reminded her of the night before, when she suffered from a nightmare and clung tightly to him despite insisting that he leave. That, he told her, is the very reason he still can't bring himself to leave her side.
