In his usual playful 'lambing,' Jason (Francis Magundayao) jokingly sulked at Patrick (Joshua Garcia) for deciding so suddenly to move into Mia’s (Anne Curtis) mansion. He had been delighted to see his best friend again when Patrick dropped Matmat (Carlo Aquino) off at the restaurant, and while the peace offering of his favorite food was more than enough to lift his mood, their catch-up was cut short once more when Patrick hurriedly left after receiving a call.
Noticing Jason’s disappointment because Patrick hasn't yet fulfilled his promise to call him, Matmat eased his mind by assuring him that Patrick would certainly keep his word and that he just have to wait for that call. After all, he is Patrick's best friend.
Their lighthearted banter was interrupted by a customer joining in—it was Madeth (Xyriel Manabat). Seizing the moment, she asked to talk to Matmat, who agreed to give her some time. But their conversation turned awkward when Madeth started inquiring about Matmat’s creative process as he's now the illustrator of Mia’s book. As Madeth continued to explain herself, Matmat glanced at his wristwatch, then stood up and gathered his things from Jason.
