What was buried rises again, as the episode opens with Louisa’s (Mutya Orquia) death making the headlines. The story then shifts to a different yet familiar perspective, following the known witness, Esther Castro (Malou Crisologo), as she goes to the National Law Enforcement Agency to give a sworn statement identifying Louisa’s killer.

She identifies the young Edong (Renshi de Guzman) as the suspect after seemingly spotting him in a hooded jacket and cap. Leveraging Esther’s testimony and her respected status as a church devotee, Celestino (Bart Guingona) intimidates Erica (Krystal Mejes), Beth (Allyson McBride), Alice (Eliza Borromeo), and Mel (Reich Alim) into implicating Edong as Louisa’s murderer.

In the present day, an older Erica (Kaila Estrada) and her private investigator, Marco (Race Matias), begin investigating the current cases surrounding the missing Esther and the deceased Celestino.

Mel’s helpers can no longer ignore the abuse she endures

The night after Mel (Sue Ramirez) and Anton (Jameson Blake) argued, leaving Mel locked inside the bathroom, the stay-out helpers notice the dismantled doorknob scattered on the floor. Feigning ignorance, Mel claims it simply fell off and tells them to call a repairman.

Moments later, Jo, a concerned helper, approaches Mel to ask if she’s okay, and Mel insists she is.

Aware that Mel is being abused, Jo gently points out her bruises and voices doubt about the doorknob incident. She then reveals that she, too, was once a victim of domestic abuse—understanding Mel’s situation and offering her heartfelt advice.

Conflicted, Mel clings to her denial and fires Jo, who, before leaving, reminds Mel not to let things become so severe that she ends up killed.

Edong holds onto Beth’s family picture

Keeping up his attendance at the Bible study held within the prison, Edong (Jake Cuenca) remains one of the most respected inmates, seated at the center.

When asked about second chances, inmates Samuel and Nelboy share their dreams of finally being free, finding forgiveness, and reuniting with their loved ones. With a hint of mischief, Edong responds that a second chance is already within his reach, adding that it must begin with oneself—a sentiment the pastor agrees with.

The scene ends with Edong smiling eerily as he opens his Bible, revealing Beth’s (Charlie Dizon) family photo—the one he took the night he sneaked into their house.

Beth notices their missing family photo

Exhausted, Beth (Charlie Dizon), Ryan (Yves Flores), and Liezel (Mary Joy Apostol) arrive at Beth’s home, all hoping that Locsin and his police team will find the suspect.

She notices their family photo is missing and asks everyone, especially Chloe (Jewel Milag), if she took it, but nobody really did.

Mel and Beth question Erica’s suspicions

The day of the Grace & Glam fashion show arrives for Mel (Sue Ramirez). As she prepares, she calls Beth (Charlie Dizon) to ask about Alice’s (Janella Salvador) condition and is informed about the whole incident involving the intruder in the latter’s house.

Mel pauses for a moment, wondering about the coincidence that after Erica (Kaila Estrada) warned them, strange things began happening. Beth criticizes the thought, saying that Erica might have successfully manipulated Mel into believing there’s a connection.

After the call, Liezel (Mary Joy Apostol) becomes unusually tense at the mention of Erica, adding that her claims might be true. Surprised by Liezel’s awareness of the past tragedy, Beth points out that Liezel was a year ahead of them back then.

Startled, Liezel explains that the tragedy became so big it reached even outside Amurao, making it nearly impossible for the townspeople not to know about it.

In Chloe’s (Jewel Milag) room, she and Joshua (Lawrence dela Cruz) banter about the suspect who chased them, particularly his attire. As proof, Chloe shows a video she took while they were running to escape the man.

Erica uncovers dirt on Lucas’s business investor

Still on the topic of Lucas’s (JM de Guzman) post, Erica (Kaila Estrada) and Marco (Race Matias) discover that the man with Lucas in the photo is the son of Lawrence Kyo.

Knowing Lawrence as one of the top suppliers of illegal substances in the Philippines, as well as their current evidence, they conclude that he is Lucas’s business investor. Then, Erica recalls a past client whose husband was killed over a financial dispute with Lawrence. The client, who had evidence, eventually backed out from filing a case.

Aware of how Lawrence’s group operates, Marco surmises that he could indeed be helping the Santiago brothers with their plans.

The scene shifts to Lucas inside a big house, where he meets Lawrence, who assures him that no one can meddle with his business, revealing a badly beaten and seemingly dead Dimaano.

Back to Erica and Marco, he receives information that Esther (Malou Crisologo) is still alive.
