First to feel the chill and be marked by Edong’s (Jake Cuenca) 14-year resentment is Alice (Janella Salvador).

Like a sign of things to come, before Edong’s shadowy ambush, Alice wakes from a dream that’s also a memory of the accident that killed her father (Geoff Eigenmann). Haunted by a fear of the dark, intensified by the tragedy, Alice asks her mother (Carlene Aguilar) where her fear began, only to learn it started when she got lost at just five years old.

Alice’s fear was also her mother’s regret, a reminder of what felt like her failure as a parent. The two embrace, and Alice promises to face the dark, hoping there’s even the smallest chance her father might come back.

Alice’s restless fear chases her down by way of Edong

Scott’s (Mark Neumann) previous phone call triggers Alice (Janella Salvador) into panic until she starts grounding, clinging to the details of the room to remind herself she’s safe.

Unbeknownst to her, the fear already has a face. Outside, Edong (Jake Cuenca) lurks in the shadows, plotting his ambush, his presence betrayed only by the sudden bang of the door and the heavy thud of footsteps on the roof above Alice and her son’s room.

With a bit of courage, Alice opens the blinds and sees Edong’s silhouette. Hastily, she wakes her son, Seth (Rhys Stevens), and the two escape the room. Downstairs, Rose, their helper, grows tense, overcome by the same fear.

Just as Alice reaches for the phone to call the police, one of the glass walls shatters from a thrown rock, and her scream echoes through the house.

Moments later, Edong escapes from the house, hiding a bloodied hand.

Beth senses the sting of Edong’s ill intentions

Worried, Beth rushes to the hospital where her daughter, Chloe (Jewel Milag), has been taken after the accident.

Joshua (Lawrence dela Cruz), Ryan (Yves Flores), and Liezel (Mary Joy Apostol), all present at the scene, listen as Chloe explains what happened: they were being chased by an unknown man near Alice’s (Janella Salvador) house.

Shocked, Beth begins to speculate about the man’s identity.

Erica proves she’s not an easy target

As a regular, Erica (Kaila Estrada) shares another drink with Marco (Race Matias), both going into detail about Erica’s plan to uncover Lucas (JM de Guzman) and Edong’s (Jake Cuenca) potential revenge schemes.

Puzzled, Erica recalls the rare instance when Mel (Sue Ramirez) defended Lucas at Fitness Plus—a surprising sight, especially given Lucas’s inconsolable resentment of the girls (Mel, Erica, Beth, and Alice) during Edong’s incarceration. Meanwhile, a frustrated Lucas remembers Erica’s suspicions, even tracing back to their once-romantic past and the betrayal that tore them apart.

Accepting that her former friends will never believe her, Erica tells Marco that their investigation should focus solely on Lucas, particularly where he was at the day of Celestino’s (Bart Guingona) death. In the middle of their conversation, Erica’s one-night stand approaches her, attempting to win her back.

Things escalate when Erica rejects the man, prompting Marco to step in and protect her. Refusing to be powerless, she threatens to file a legal complaint before bending the man’s arm—a move Marco once taught her.

After the man flees the scene, Marco and Erica share a light moment, with Marco remarking that not all men are as Erica thinks.

Mel strikes back at a deceitful Anton

A drunk and heartbroken Mel (Sue Ramirez) comes home to find Anton (Jameson Blake) waiting for her, surrounded by surprises he prepared.

Ignoring his questions, Anton reminds Mel of one of her past controversies at a bar, where she was framed as being intoxicated and suffering a drug-induced breakdown. Mel continues to retaliate against Anton’s false belief that she’s mentally unstable and delusional, believing that he only wants her to be wrong.

Viewing Mel as hysterical once again, Anton’s eyes darken as he asks if she wants to be hurt again. Fed up, Mel reprimands him, pointing out that he’s going to be the victim of his own wrongdoing against her once more, since his mother never taught him to be accountable for his mistakes.

Turning indifferent, Mel urges Anton to hurt her but mentions the upcoming Grace & Glam fashion event, where she might finally reveal the real story—and the true villain behind the bruises on her body: Anton.
