Right on the heels of the announcement of their upcoming Love, KimPau world tour with shows in the US and Canada this summer, Paulo Avelino and Kim Chiu revealed another exciting project KimPau fans can look forward to. Prime Video announced that the pair will be part of one of their seven new Pinoy original series this year.
Having been paired together in their first Prime Video series Linlang in 2023 followed by The Alibi last year, the two Kapamilya stars couldn’t help but share their excitement at the chance to work on their brand new show Kopino.
“For me, I’m very grateful. It’s going to be my third project with Prime once we launch Kopino and it’s my third project with Kim and Prime. Hopefully (maging) 13 (laughs),” Paulo said. The two took the stage at the Prime Video launch event held last April 14 in Makati City.

“Working with Prime Video again, and this is my fourth project, is so amazing. Thank you so much! Prime Video for me, working with them, feels like home. But it’s a home that keeps on evolving. I’m very proud to always do projects with Prime Video,” Kim added.
Unlike their previous shows, Kim shared that their newest series will be partly shot abroad and give her the chance to work with foreign co-stars for the first time.
"This one, Kopino, it’s Korean and Filipino so siyempre may Korea magic. We will go to Korea to shoot some of the scenes with Korean actors. So this is something very new and very exciting! I’m also very proud to work with Prime kasi this is not only shown locally, this reaches the global audience rin kaya nakaka-proud din that your work is being watched by other countries kaya thank so much Prime for this big opportunity,” she admitted.

Paulo also said he is very excited for Pinoys all around the world to see a different kind of story.
“We always find stories to tell that are very Filipino and one part about this is Kopino, it’s a story about Korean-Filipinos looking for their identity. It’s something very exciting, it’s something very unique to us, and it’s something local that we can be proud of. Hopefully the international audience watches it,” he said.
Kopino is part of the seven new Filipino Original series revealed by Prime Video as part of its local lineup this year and also includes the return of LOL: Last One Laughing Philippines Season 2, and six other brand new series The Silent Noise, Love Is Never Gone, The Loyalty Game, Honor Thy Mother, and Behind Closed Doors.
