In the KimPau universe, the littlest things feel the most real. If you're an avid fan of Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino, shipped by fans as KimPau, you definitely know it's impossible not to fall for their most effortless interactions.
And some of their kilig-filled moments happen on "It's Showtime," where Kim is a mainstay. So whenever Paulo drops by the studio for a quick guest appearance, the 'feels' is like watching a suitor visiting the girl he likes at home. Add in the 'asaran' from Kim’s 'Showtime' family, and our hearts automatically do somersaults.
One time, the 'Showtime' family was left in 'chaos' when Paulo casually popped up at the studio in the middle of the dating game segment "EXpecially For You." They welcomed Kim’s special visitor, of course.
Kim’s co-hosts might as well be our angels on set, with the way they always know how to bring out the spark between the two. Take this, for example. During that surprise visit, Vice Ganda slipped into "mommy" mode and said, “Please come in, the house is open,” and then made sure the guest had "minindal" or snacks. "'Yung softdrinks! Bumili ka kay Aling Tasing," she jokingly told her co-hosts, before asking Kim to just take a break from her hosting duties and check on her visitor first. So, let's say this together now: "Salamat sa buhay mo, Meme!"
In another episode, when Kim and Paulo stopped by to promote their series “The Alibi,” now airing on the Kapamilya primetime lineup, the Kapamilya love team got teased about their rumored jogging sessions together. Trying to escape the 'asaran' in a very-Paulo style, he joked that he mistook Klarisse De Guzman—who was also there to perform the series' theme song—for Kim. Because of that, Kim acted jealous. And to reassure her, Paulo moved closer and wrapped an arm around Kim in the sweetest way. BRB, just kicking my feet in the air.
When we say it’s the little things between them that feel the most genuine, we mean this episode where they were asked to give each other a message, and they both kept it minimal yet meaningful. "Congratulations," Paulo said, to which Kim replied, "Salamat."
Their OA-meets-nonchalant dynamic also looked so adorable when they promoted “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim.” When Paulo was asked what post he’d promote Secretary Kim to, he answered, "Housewife," which made Kim react, "Aalagaan kita."
We bet you’re already running out of air from all the kilig, but hold on and keep calm, because there are definitely more KimPau moments to look forward to on "It’s Showtime" soon.
In the meantime, catch them on "The Alibi: Ang Buong Katotohanan," airing weeknights on ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, A2Z, and Kapamilya Online Live (KOL), with episodes dropping seven days ahead on iWant.
