Alas Pilipinas Women came up short against Thailand, falling to the eight-time SEA V.League defending champion in four sets, 22-25, 17-25, 26-24, 16-25, in Leg 2 of the regional tournament on Saturday in Vietnam.
It was the same scenario as the first leg, where the Nationals succumbed to both the ASEAN volleyball powerhouses and dropped to 0-2 win-loss recard, and have aimed to face save against Indonesia.

Still has a chance for a podium result, Alas seeks to bounce back versus the team it defeated previously on Sunday, August 10, at 5 p.m.
Alas Women might have lost to the Thais, but it showed promise, even stealing one frame, where they came back from the dead in Set 3, powered by Leg 1 Best Outside Spiker Angel Canino.
But the Thailand side showed its power once more in Set 4, uncorking a 7-1 run midway to eventually take the triumph. They will battle Vietnam for the gold, scheduled later in day after the Philippines-Indonesia bout.
