The pride of De La Salle University was named Best Outside Hitter in the first leg of the 2025 SEA Women's V.League following the conclusion of the regional tournament, Sunday evening in Thailand.
Canino, who powered Alas Pilipinas' podium bid earlier in the day, clinched her third award after back-to-back AVC nods as Best Opposite Spiker in the Challenge Cup (2024) and Best Outside Spiker in the Nations Cup (2025).

This individual honor will surely boost Canino and the rest of the national team in the Leg 2, scheduled for August 8-10.
Canino has joined several awardees from Thailand — Pimpichaya Kokram (MVP), Pornpun Guedpard (Best Setter), Ajcharaporn Kongyot (Best Outside Hitter), Thatdao Nuekjang (Best Middle Blocker), as well as Vietnam's Nguyễn Thị Bích Tuyền (Best Opposite Spiker), Trần Thị Bích Thủy (Best Middle Blocker), and Nguyễn Khánh Đang (Best Libero), completing this leg's "Dream Team."

Alas Pilipinas concluded its campaign with a 25-20, 25-20, 16-25, 25-13 triumph over Indonesia, sealing the bronze medal in the Southeast Asian contest.
