MANILA — Philippine volleyball star Eya Laure led the charge in promoting the FIVB Men’s World Championship 2025 in Cebu City.

A “Set Na Natin ’To” Trophy and Mascot Tour was held in the Visayan city to push audience participation in the FIVB Worlds, although the competition scheduled to take place in Metro Manila at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City and Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Laure, who gamely engaged with her Visayan fans, was joined by Cebu's very own Karencitta, who sang the world championship’s official anthem “Electrifying.”

During the FIVB campaign kickoff at the SM Mall of Asia on Wednesday, August 13, Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) and Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) chief Ramon “Tats” Suzara echoed this sentiment of tapping the sport's provincial fans.

"I think hosting the event, we are ready. We just need to push more promotions for the ticket sales, lalo 'yung mga matches na 'di pa masyadong popular," said Suzara. "We need to promote [the MWCH 2025] more para sa mga provincial fans natin."

Suzara, in a statement made available to the media, assured that the worlds will be a "once in a lifetime" experience for volleyball enthusiastic supporters.

“The world championship will indeed be a unique and unforgettable experience for Filipino fans,” said Suzara.

Meanwhile, Alas Pilipinas Men are in a three-country Europe training camp as they continue their preparations for the 32-nation tournament.
