Photo from PVL Media Bureau.MANILA — The Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) is set to iron out some of the remaining concerns ahead of the country’s hosting of the 2025 FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship.
There are only less than two months away from the tournament, and among those that need focus are the transportation and traffic issues especially since games will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay and the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao.
“We have coordinated with the MMDA and DOTR Secretary Vince Dizon,” shared PNVF President Ramon ‘Tats’ Suzara in an appearance on Power and Play, Saturday morning.
Suzara, who was also the chief implementer when the country hosted the 2023 FIBA World Cup, said that a meeting headed by Philippine Sports Commissioner Chairman Pato Gregorio is set to be held to figure out possible ways for things to run smoothly.

“Si PSC Chair will call a meeting next week because he is the chair of the IATF,” he said. “We will have another final meeting with the government agencies, from the airport, the transportation, and hopefully, we get the support from the PNP, na may mga motorcycle escorts tayo para hindi ma-late.”
During the 2023 World Cup, the MMDA implemented stop-and-go schemes as well as truck bans in key places to alleviate the said concerns.
While he did not go yet into specifics, Suzara pointed out that they will look into all possible solutions ahead of the tournament which runs from September 12 to 25 as they anticipate a heavy number of both local and international fans.
“The fans are coming to Manila, and everybody is looking forward to this big event,” he said.
