History has repeated itself for Alas Pilipinas.
The Alas Women took down Indonesia, 25-17, 25-17, 28-26, to claim another SEA V.League 2025 bronze medal on Sunday.
After going down with a 0-2 win-loss record, losing to Thailand and Vietnam, Indonesia once more became their saving grace.
Their rivals, however, put forth a challenge before going down, and even installed a three-point lead, 21-18 late in Set 3.
Eya Laure and Bella Belen rose to the occasion, finding the much-needed points to complete the Filipinas' escape.

Laure led a spirited comeback built on back-to-back attacks as the Philippines tied at 22-all.
The former University of Santo Tomas standout gave a set point advantage to the Indonesians eventually, 24-23, but Belen was there to give Philippines once more the edge on kills, 25-24.
The Indonesians would score on an attack and an ace, 26-25, but a Belen crosscourt hit saved the Filipinas once set point, tying at 26-all.
Angel Canino fired a kill block to reach match point, and the Indonesians committed a costly attack error to fall to the Philippines anew, 28-26.

While the national team enjoyed a triumph, it also saw a tense moment as opposite spiker Alyssa Solomon went down, suffering an apparent injury midway through Set 1 and needed to be stretchered off the court.
This was after she tried to save a ball from the Indonesians, but the ex-National University star hurt her knee as she landed on the floor.
Solomon seemed to be okay as she returned to the bench, but wasn't fielded again.
