The Elasto Painters concluded the elimination round with a 9-3 win-loss card, beating Titan Ultra, 142-131, on Friday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
It was a welcome result for Yeng Guiao and company, having lost their last two outings against NLEX (90–92) and Barangay Ginebra (90-114).
Import Jaylen Johnson paved the way with 31 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists to go with two blocks, while Caelan Tiongson and Christian Manaytay led the local scoring with 18 points each.
Santi Santillan added a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds, as Adrian Nocum provided RoS with 14 points.
Assured of a twice-to-beat bonus, the Elasto Painters have a chance to lock in the second seed, depending on the games this weekend.
Meanwhile, already-eliminated Titan Ultra finished with a 2-10 card, with Bryan Sajonia pacing the losing side with 23 points.
