As Gabo (Coco Martin) visits Rudy (Joey Marquez) at the hospital, the attending physician informs him that his father remains in critical condition and must undergo surgery as soon as possible. He warns that without it, Rudy’s lungs may continue to compress, reducing the oxygen supply to his brain and risking irreversible damage—or even death.
Determined, Gabo tells the doctor that he will do everything necessary to raise the funds needed for the operation. Standing outside the intensive care unit, he watches his unconscious father and whispers a promise from a distance, urging Rudy to hold on a little longer. He assures him that he will return with the money for the surgery as he will not let him die—even though it means sacrificing his own life.
With tears in his eyes and anguish in his heart, Gabo leaves the hospital to fulfill that promise by finally accepting the dangerous job Anino has offered him.
