While Sam (Julia Montes) and her team are busy presenting their briefing report on the gold-smuggling case assigned to them before their NCIA superiors, Pia (Katherine Luna) and Chief Fernando Delgado (Soliman Cruz), their target, Victor (JM de Guzman), seems to be already preparing for the intense action that lies ahead.
And he’s clearly not someone to be taken lightly, for he won't hesitate to take on anyone who dares to harm him or the people who matter most to him. He proves this after seeing one of his henchmen seemingly rough up his younger brother, Lucas (Ronwaldo Martin), during what was supposed to be a friendly kickboxing sparring session at their mansion. Although the henchman insists he was merely doing his job as part of Lucas' training, Victor is unfazed by the explanation and even threatens to kill him with a sword.
Fortunately for the terrified lackey, Victor and Lucas' mother, Deborah, arrive just in time and reprimands Victor. She orders the brothers to wrap things up immediately, reminding them that their father, Mariano (Efren Reyes Jr.), has an important matter to discuss with them.
During the family meeting, it was confirmed that Sam and her team's intelligence were accurate. Victor is indeed set to meet with Mr. Chan in Chinatown the following day to carry out a transaction during the Chinese New Year celebration.
The meeting also reveals the favoritism game within the Zafra family. Mariano clearly favors Victor, while Deborah is more protective of Lucas—exposing the divide between the parents when it comes to their two sons.
