Love was certainly in the air last weekend as online couples came together on the set of "Everybody, Sing!" for a chance to take home the community singing game show’s coveted ₱1 million jackpot prize.
Introducing herself as Bumble-lina Tinder-lyn Tantanueva—whose irresistible charm would make anyone swipe right instantly—host Vice Ganda welcomed the Songbayanang Online Couples to a fun-filled sing-along to Rivermaya’s “Ulan.”
As the first lyric-guessing round kicked off, the “repre-sing-tatives” were challenged to complete a song by singing its missing lyrics during the “Sing in the Blank” round. Each player who answered correctly received a ₱1,000 cash prize. The Songbayanan scored seven correct answers to "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You,” earning a starting time of 14 seconds.
"Primera Kontrabida” Gladys Reyes left her villainous persona behind as she joined the Songbayanan for an exciting Saturday jackpot round of “Singko Blanko.” She selected four “repre-sing-tatives” to help her complete the five consecutive missing lyrics of Regine Velasquez-Alcasid’s classic hit “Dadalhin.” Their successful performance earned the group ₱20,000 and an additional second on the clock.
“The ChooSing One” featured Pop Rock Royalty Yeng Constantino, who teamed up with the game show’s resident band, Six Part Invention, to perform her iconic hit “Hawak Kamay” for the Songbayanan. The Songbayanang Online Couples then aced the round with a perfect score, earning 20 additional seconds on the clock.
With a combined time of 22 seconds earned from the “LipSing” and “ReverSing” games, the Songbayanang Online Couples advanced to the “Everybody GuesSing” jackpot round, where they had to identify all 10 song titles after hearing only their corresponding instrumentals. After a slow start, the Songbayanan picked up the pace in the succeeding guessing rounds and successfully identified nine song titles with less than 10 seconds remaining.
Stumped by the final song, the Asia’s Unkabogable Superstar gave a hint that the track was performed by a local artist. The clue proved helpful as Enrique Gil’s groovy track “Mobe” was correctly identified in a buzzer-beater finish, earning the Songbayanang Online Couples the ₱1 million jackpot prize. This brought their total winnings to ₱1,020,000, including the ₱20,000 they earned from the “Singko Blanko” Saturday jackpot game.
