Jalil (Gerald Anderson) makes his return to SID’s headquarters, preserving his identity as Major Allan as he fully heals from the wounds that he sustained through the tragic outcome of the hostage-taking incident at Calle San Aurelio.
While the members of Task Force Alpha are all eager to resume performing their duties, Lara’s (Bela Padilla) absence is evident to everyone present in the room. Usman (Ejay Falcon) mentions that Lara hasn’t appeared since the time of the bus exploding, which claimed the lives of all the civilians inside.
Hearing this, Marcus (Richard Gutierrez) and Jalil exchange knowing glances, with the rest of the members becoming perplexed. Shortly, the two talk about Lara’s sudden disappearance, and Marcus speculates that Lara could be in danger or hiding somewhere if she were the culprit responsible for the explosion.
Jalil stresses that they must find Lara to figure out the truth. Marcus follows up by saying that regardless of his doubts regarding Lara, he still wants her to be safe, particularly since they have worked together on numerous missions and understood each other’s loss.
To answer Jalil’s curiosity, Marcus explains that he suffered the loss of a father and a sibling, while Lara lost both of her parents at the same time after being ambushed at their medical mission. The orphaned Lara was eventually adopted by General Carillo (Bodjie Pascua).
Moments later, Jalil carefully walks into Lara’s office looking for any clues concerning her whereabouts. He then finds the doll he gifted Lara hidden in a drawer, as well as a family photograph. In his mind, Jalil continues to wonder if Lara is General Carillo’s accomplice or among his silenced victims.
