Days before the high-level conference involving the Philippines’ investment deal with Japan, with General Carillo (Bodjie Pascua) overseeing the security protocols, Task Force Alpha was instructed to patrol the city in an effort to prevent any criminal activity and prove to citizens that they can be trusted.
Marcus (Richard Gutierrez) sets up a buddy system for greater efficiency; he then chooses Usman (Ejay Falcon) to be his companion. Felix (Baron Geisler) gets assigned as Sean’s (Junjun Quintana) partner while Allan (Gerald Anderson) unexpectedly picks Lara (Bela Padilla).
The following day, immediately upon arriving at their chosen location, Lara bitterly steps out of the car, complaining to Allan for allegedly teasing her into being his duo for the task in question. She further asserts that it would be far better to operate independently and that she is fully capable of doing so.
Rather than arguing with Lara, Allan asks gently if she just doesn’t want to be perceived as weak. He then goes on to assure her that she is strong but there’s no one in the world who stays the same and that being exhausted will never be a humiliating fact.
Receiving kind words as though it’s the first time in a long time, Lara stops to think. She calms her trembling self but toughens up again, insisting that Allan shouldn’t pretend to truly know her and that he ought to let her be alone.
