During her shift, Jamilah (Barbie Imperial) cautiously looks around for other people before quietly stepping into Jalil’s (Gerald Anderson) hospital room.
As soon as she enters, Jamilah sheds tears while walking towards her older brother. Finally sitting by Jalil’s bedside, she expressed her anxieties when she witnessed the tragic explosion of the tourist bus and civilians that were taken hostage, resulting in Jalil’s current wounds.
Among Jamilah’s troubles are the realities that she is unable to genuinely communicate and embrace Jalil, knowing that there is a chance that others will speculate and find out about Jalil’s true identity, particularly since his undercover mission presents him as Major Allan in NLEA.
Hearing his younger sister’s worries, Jalil holds back tears. He then apologizes and makes assurances that the hardships they are going through will end soon.
Having understood Jalil’s situation, Jamilah also promises that she will be strong in support of him, yet stresses that he needs to be extra mindful so that he won’t get hurt too often.
To make things more cheerful, Jalil proudly speaks about his sister, who works as a nurse and has always treated his wounds since childhood. Jamilah smiles in response to Jalil’s words, her tears being wiped away.
With slight hesitation, Jamilah slowly departs the room, telling Jalil to focus on his recovery. Meanwhile, Jalil shows his appreciation, further reminding Jamilah to take care of herself.
Hope for Jalil and Jamilah’s way back to their peaceful lives at Isla Damai in “Blood vs Duty,” streaming on iWant and airing weeknights at 8:45 pm on ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and Kapamilya Online Live (KOL).
