Jalil (Gerald Anderson) finally goes back to Isla Damai, taking a slow walk while sorrowfully gazing at the patched-up areas. As he does so, two children run towards him with tears in their eyes, including Harun, Ramli’s (Alex Medina) son. Soon enough, the rest of Isla Damai’s residents reunite with Jalil and Sitti (Zia Grace Bataan) gives him another emotional embrace.
When the heavy mood eventually settles down, one of the women alongside Ramli accompanies Jalil, asking him regarding the truth of Datu Rahman’s (Jaime Fabregas) current condition. Given that the Datu willingly surrendered to Ahmad (Robin Padilla).
Responding with assurance, Jalil lets them know that Datu Rahman remains safe, particularly since he spent time thinking about his decision to turn himself in, something he feels would be good for everyone on the island.
After Jalil asks about the community’s situation at the moment, Ramli still finds it challenging to address the aftermath of the massacre and then proceeds to shed light on the general unrest caused by Datu Rahman’s arrest as well as Jalil and Jamilah’s (Barbie Imperial) absences.
Even the children continuously refuse to play outside, fearing that the massacre would occur again, with greater severity considering that Datu Rahman and Jalil, the community’s protectors, are not present to protect them.
With optimism, Jalil then promises he would never allow the same tragedy to happen again. However, alarming incidents have begun to escalate within the neighboring islands, specifically involving armed men robbing villages and trafficking women.
The reason behind these rampant acts of violence is the illegal firearms being rapidly smuggled, particularly now that Datu Rahman isn’t around to halt the illicit transportation of the weapons.
Hearing this, Jalil apologizes for his delayed return, clarifying that he needed to rescue Datu Rahman and determine the person responsible for the massacre.
