Usman (Ejay Falcon) visits his mother while she tends to her shop. She eventually figures out the reason for Usman’s sudden arrival, which happens frequently when he’s troubled.
Realizing he is unable to conceal his true emotions anymore, Usman confesses his doubts regarding his recent decisions of lying to Marcus (Richard Gutierrez), especially since it involves Jalil’s (Gerald Anderson) secret together with Datu Rahman (Jaime Fabregas) and Ahmad (Robin Padilla).
Even with Usman safeguarding both Datu Rahman and Jalil’s identities, he continues to feel that he’s betraying Marcus, the only person who trusted him in the beginning wholeheartedly.
As a reply, Usman’s mother gently points out that there will be unavoidable situations of this sort in which someone would have to choose their responsibilities, but that is not a mere indication that they are not a good friend. Then she asks Usman if keeping secrets is a crucial part of his job at the moment.
Looking back on his encounter with Ahmad, Usman then ultimately agrees, saying that his cooperation would be beneficial to solve the major case that they’re working on. Upon hearing this, his mother assures him that there will come a time that Marcus will understand Usman’s decision.
