The exonerated Datu Rahman (Jaime Fabregas), along with Jamilah (Barbie Imperial), finally reunites with Jalil (Gerald Anderson). After the father and son’s warm embrace, Datu Rahman expresses gratitude for Jalil’s sacrifices in order to clean his sullied name.
Jamilah then talks about how all three of them can ultimately return to Isla Damai, reclaim their peaceful way of life, and have Jalil end his undercover missions.
As an unexpected reply, Jalil reveals that he can’t go back yet as his duty remains unfinished, especially the part that involves identifying the formidable mastermind of the syndicate organizations that capitalize on smuggled firearms, who is most likely hiding among NLEA’s higher-ups.
Getting increasingly frightened, Datu Rahman hopes to convince Jalil to join them back home, dreading the life-threatening dangers ahead. Jamilah agrees with the Datu, bringing up the risks involved if Jalil’s false identity as Major Allan were to be exposed.
Despite all the difficulties, Jalil reiterates his promise to their fallen people on the island, especially that he won’t be returning until he brings them real justice, no matter the circumstances.
Keep up with Jalil’s altruism for his Tausug community in “Blood vs Duty,” streaming on iWant and airing weeknights at 8:45pm on ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and Kapamilya Online Live (KOL).
