Teresa (Susan Africa) reminds her son, Marcus (Richard Gutierrez), to head back home early for dinner, and he soon runs into Allan (Gerald Anderson), who was also invited by Teresa. Upon noticing Marcus waiting to get a taxi, Allan then suggests that Marcus travel alongside him in his car.
On the way, the two unexpectedly share similarities about why they chose to work in NLEA, especially because they are both striving to protect the oppressed. Marcus elaborates on this and mentions that it became his dream to do good for others from the moment his little brother, Gabriel, passed away.
Allan wonders if Marcus remains affected by Gabriel’s death, which Marcus quickly answers by expressing that sometimes he would prefer if he were the one who perished. As he grieved each day, Marcus eventually understood that he must make his life meaningful to make sure his sibling’s death wouldn't be in vain.
For a brief moment, Allan jokes with Marcus but ultimately reassures him that Gabriel is undoubtedly proud of him, no matter where he is.
Will Marcus and Allan realize their brotherly connection? Find out in “Blood vs Duty,” streaming on iWant and airing weeknights at 8pm on ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and Kapamilya Online Live (KOL).
