Within minutes after Marcus (Richard Gutierrez) gets a preventive suspension from his furious NLEA superiors, he quickly communicates the details to Task Force Alpha. Being told the sudden news, Usman (Ejay Falcon), Liam (Albie Casiño), Ryan (LA Santos), Eve (Lou Yanong), and Andre (River Joseph) all have feelings of unease.
Seeing the worried reactions of his colleagues, Marcus apologizes but is interrupted by the frustrated Felix (Baron Geisler), who criticizes Marcus for covering up the fact that he hid Datu Rahman (Jaime Fabregas) when the team was working on restoring the reputations of TFA, NLEA, and SID.
Marcus follows up by explaining how he kept the whereabouts of Datu Rahman a secret to protect him and the truth, particularly since the real culprit behind the massacre at Isla Damai operates within NLEA.
In the middle of the heated conversation, Jalil (Gerald Anderson) as Allan shows up, supporting Marcus’ statements. Marcus elaborates further, clarifying that he is uncertain as to whether he will be dismissed from service but ultimately hopes that Task Force Alpha will make the traitor pay the price for the chaos and violence that they caused.
As Jalil offers reassurance, Marcus then makes the decision to hand over the leadership of Task Force Alpha to him. Lara (Bela Padilla) turns startled, scrutinizing Marcus’ current actions and authority.
In response, Marcus defends Jalil’s expertise, followed by the rest of the members, though not including Felix and Lara. Outnumbered by the collective agreements with Jalil’s leadership, Lara walks away, and so does Felix.
Will Jalil successfully lead Task Force Alpha? Find out in “Blood vs Duty,” streaming on iWant and airing weeknights at 8pm on ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and Kapamilya Online Live (KOL).
