In the May 23 episode of "Everybody, Sing!," which featured 50 hardworking virtual assistants as the weekend’s “songbayanan,” host Vice Ganda shared an inspiring story about a kindhearted Japanese woman who once helped shoulder her educational expenses.
The Asia’s Unkabogable Superstar recalled this special memory while talking about Japan and the sincere generosity of its people. Vice expressed her wish to meet the woman personally to thank her, which nearly became a reality after the Japanese press learned about the heartwarming story and helped in the search for her.
Unfortunately, Vice—who was in Japan at the time to attend a film festival—was unable to meet the private citizen she had long felt indebted to. Vice later discovered that the same woman who had helped her years ago already knew how Vice had grown into the cultural icon she is today.
Aside from feeling proud and happy about Vice’s achievements and milestones, the generous Japanese woman left her with a meaningful message: to pay forward the kindness she had wholeheartedly given her many years ago.
