“Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0” Big Winner Lella Ford just added another epic “core memory” in her still young showbiz career through her guest appearance in the May 16 episode of “Everybody, Sing!” alongside Kapamilya 3rd Big Placer and her close friend Joaquin Arce.
As they were about to enter the studio from backstage, Lella suddenly stopped after one of her shoes loosened from her left foot. This prompted host Vice Ganda to playfully remind her not to borrow any footwear from her mom, Karla Estrada, a longtime best friend of the “Unkabogable Star,” because they’re too big for her. Meanwhile, ever the gentleman, Joaquin quickly stood in front of Lella to shield her as she fixed her shoe.
Still amused by Lella’s funny little mishap, Vice proceeded to interview the pair and brief them about their role in the episode. As the host mentioned that they would be “as one” in helping the four “repre-sing-tatives" of the songbayanang choir members in the “Singko Blangko” Saturday jackpot round earn an additional cash prize and extra seconds on their jackpot timer, Vice teased them about being noticeably inseparable not only in their TV appearances but also in their personal adventures, including their recent trip to Siquijor. However, Lella appeared too flustered by the incident to fully react to the teasing.
The Unkabogable Star then shared details of a recent phone conversation with Joaquin’s father, Neil Arce, who is also a close friend of hers. According to Vice, Neil revealed that Joaquin had been extremely stressed upon learning about his guesting on the show, initially assuming that it was a singing competition. Vice quickly clarified that although singing was involved, having a powerful singing voice was not necessary, but being good with song lyrics is.
Joaquin confirmed this by recalling how nervous he initially felt after receiving the invitation. He eventually felt relieved after learning that he and Lella would simply assist the songbayanan by providing the missing lyrics to a certain song during the “Singko Blangko” round.
