Vincent (Paulo Avelino) assures Stella (Kim Chiu) of his trust in her in the April 9 episode of “The Alibi.”
Before Stella and Vincent share breakfast together, George (Thou Reyes) visits Vincent, and Stella asks him to join them. George cannot help but tease Vincent about Stella being at his house, even remarking that her gestures toward him seem so sweet.
Later, George expresses his gratitude to Stella for the good meal she made. As Stella goes on to clean the dishes, George takes the opportunity to ask Vincent about the real score between them. Vincent tells him that everything is just for show, meant for the public to believe in their relationship.
Vincent explains that he had asked Stella to stop working at the bar for the meantime, and George agrees with the idea, as the people who want to ruin Vincent's reputation have also started to attack Stella. This confuses Vincent, and George shows him a clip where a whistleblower appears to reveal that Stella had tried to steal money from him. Stella comes in and hears about the clip, anxiety washing over her.
“Hindi totoo ‘yan,” Stella affirms. Vincent tells her that she does not need to explain further, “Alam kong nagsasabi ka ng totoo. Wala ka namang pinapakitang masama sa’kin para pagdudahan kita.” A flashback then shows the moment when Walter (Sam Milby) asked a favor from Stella, who had become his girlfriend at the moment.
Walter invites Stella to their company party and pleads with her to entertain his colleagues with a dance number. Stella feels uncomfortable, but Walter convinces her. She tells him she will try to think about it, which makes Walter lose his temper for a moment. He then tries to persuade her again.
In the present time, Vincent is certain that someone powerful wants to take him down. “Dahil wala namang matinong taong magpapagawa ng video na ganyan eh.” George interrupts and suggests that Walter's death might have been connected to drugs. Vincent only knows Claudia (Sofia Andres) to be the person who used illegal drugs like Walter, and Stella tries to keep her composure, as she also had a previous connection with Walter.
