Stella (Kim Chiu) prepares breakfast for Vincent (Paulo Avelino) in the April 9 episode of “The Alibi.”
Joseph (Enzo Osorio) asks Stella where she is headed early in the morning, to which she replies that she has to go to Vincent. After cooking breakfast for her siblings, Stella reminds them to take care of themselves while she is away. Joseph notices that Stella seems calmer and inspired these past few days. Stella explains that she is simply motivated to work for money.
Meanwhile, Vincent is absorbed in work until he hears the clanking of plates and pans from the kitchen. He goes downstairs to check and sees a figure in a hoodie, suspecting an intruder. Without hesitation, he attacks from behind and pins the person down—only to discover that it is Stella.
Vincent immediately apologizes to Stella, who is startled by what just happened. “Ganto ka ba talaga bumati ng ‘good morning,’ nandadamba?” she quips. Stella explains that she was only preparing breakfast for him and had entered the house using the keys he had given her.
Stella notices the lack of sleep on Vincent’s face, and he admits that he has just been busy with work. As he is about to head upstairs, Stella asks him to have breakfast first. Vincent initially refuses, but later on, he eats the food Stella prepared.
