Her breakout kontrabida roles have helped shape some of our favorite Kapamilya teleseryes over the years. From teenage dramas to compelling family sagas, Sofia Andres has become a household name we always look forward to seeing more of.

As we continue to enjoy the fierce energy she brings to the series “The Alibi,” let us reminisce about Sofia’s notable ABS-CBN projects that have marked her career in this episode of Kapamilya Spotlight.

Before captivating us on screen, Sofia had already charmed audiences as a commercial model at the early age of six. She made her acting debut in 2012 through the romantic drama “Princess and I.” In the series, she played Dindi, the younger sister of Mikay (Kathryn Bernardo).

Sofia’s rise continued in 2014 when she joined the hit teleserye “Forevermore” as Kate, Xander’s (Enrique Gil) first love, who finds herself caught in a love triangle with him and Agnes (Liza Soberano).

These acting stints opened even more doors for her, leading to memorable appearances in “Maalaala Mo Kaya” episodes such as “Pantalan” and “Sanggol.” She also showcased her talent in “Wansapanataym” and “Ipaglaban Mo” before stepping into comedy with the teen sitcom “Luv U,” where she played Bea.

Her breakthrough came in 2017 when she landed her first lead role in the TV series “Pusong Ligaw.” Sofia brought Vida Verdadero to life, the protégé of Tessa (Beauty Gonzalez), who embarks on a second-chance storyline with her childhood friend Potpot, played by Diego Loyzaga.

From romance, Sofia shifted gears in 2018 with a special participation in the action-drama fantasy “Bagani.” She portrayed Mayari, a member of “Taga-laot” clan who would do everything to protect her family.

Two years later, she returned to drama in the 2020 series “La Vida Lena,” taking on the role of Rachel, the sister of Lena (Erich Gonzalez). In 2022, Sofia shifted to action in “The Iron Heart,” where she played Nyx, the love interest of Eros (Jake Cuenca).

In 2025, Sofia appeared in the Philippine adaptation of “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” as Jillian, a patient at a mental health facility.

Now, audiences see Sofia in her most cunning role yet—as Claudia Cabrera in “The Alibi.” She plays the wife of Vincent (Paulo Avelino), secretly entangled in an affair with his close friend Walter (Sam Milby), whose sudden death shakes their world.

As the investigation unfolds, Claudia fights for herself while evidence begins to surface, each piece threatening to expose her secrets and point suspicion directly at her character.

This roster of Sofia’s teleseryes over the years has proven her chameleon-like ability to thrive across genres and roles. The raw emotions she delivers every time the cameras start rolling deeply resonate with viewers, showing just how effective and convincing she is as an actress.

Watch Sofia Andres embody Claudia Cabrera in “The Alibi: Ang Buong Katotohanan” weeknights at 8:45PM on ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, A2Z, and Kapamilya Online Live (KOL) on YouTube and Facebook. Episodes drop seven days ahead on iWant.
