On the March 16 episode of Kapamilya Chat, “The Alibi” star Sofia Andres opened up about taking on the role of the ever-fierce Claudia Cabrera in the series. She also shared tidbits from her experience working alongside Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino, plus fun behind-the-scenes moments with the rest of the cast.

But beyond the cameras, who does Sofia rely on as her “alibi” in certain situations? To answer that, she gamely took on the fun challenge where she was given random scenarios and had to name the person she would cite as her ‘excuse’ or call on when she needed backup.
When it comes to messing around on set, Sofia named Rafael Rosell, who plays Matthew, as her go-to person, adding that their bond grew closer over the course of their taping days. Meanwhile, on times when stress starts to consume her, Sofia talks to her mom to gain support. “’Yung mga mommy n’yo, huwag n’yong kalimutan, mahalin n’yo yan,” she reminded viewers. Sofia admitted with a smile that she has been feeling stress-free these days.
Mother knows best indeed. Another situation where Sofia asks help from her mom is when she needs someone to knock some sense into her and give a real talk—-because family is often the most honest. She also gives Sofia career advice when she calls for guidance.
When verifying information she hears or reads online, Sofia depends on her real-life partner Daniel Miranda, to whom she consults for anything factual. She expressed that she and Daniel are opposites: he is more relaxed, while she can be intense at times. As for fashion emergencies, Sofia mostly relies on herself for styling, but during big events, she seeks help from her stylist and glam team.
Lastly, whenever she feels nervous while filming, Sofia conveyed that she turns to God in prayer, making it her routine every time she needs a confidence boost.
