Stella (Kim Chiu) fights to defend herself in front of everyone in the April 15 episode of “The Alibi.”
When one of the guests informs Arthur (John Arcilla) that Stella had attacked him, Arthur immediately orders his bodyguards to drag her away from the party. As Stella is being pulled along, Claudia (Sofia Andres) spots her, her rage intensifying.
“Where do you think you’re going?” Claudia shouts, before yanking Stella down, causing her to fall to the floor. “That’s what you deserve, Stella! The audacity!” Claudia sneers, demanding to know why she came to the ball, especially with Matthew (Rafael Rosell). The scene draws the guests’ attention.
Stella gets up and faces Claudia, who continues to remind her of her relationship with Vincent (Paulo Avelino) and how much it has destroyed their family. Stella calls Claudia delusional, and without missing a beat, Claudia rips down Stella’s dress, shaming her in front of everybody. Stella cries as she sees Katherine (Angelina Cruz) watching over her.
Claudia keeps humiliating Stella in front of everyone until Vincent arrives to stop her. He immediately covers Stella with his coat, asking if she is okay. Vincent defends Stella against his family, who even threatened to send her to the authorities. Despite this, Stella responds and leaves everyone with the words, “Mababa man ang tingin niyo sakin, pero may karapatan pa rin ako para ipagtanggol ko yung sarili ko.”
