Vincent (Paulo Avelino) is determined to redeem himself to Arthur (John Arcilla) in the April 13 episode of “The Alibi.”
Jacqueline (Zsa Zsa Padilla) and Arthur are delighted to see their investors’ ball going well so far, as they also intend to further clean the image of their family and ensure that no one tears down the Cabrera Group. “Kaya sabihan mo si Vincent, everything has to run smoothly, walang dapat maging aberya,” Arthur orders Jacqueline, to which she eases his worries, assuring him that she and Vincent share the same goals for the night.
Arthur responds that Vincent does not even listen to him. “Ikaw ang nagturo sa kanya ng lahat—to strive, to be a fighter,” Jacqueline replies as they greet their guests with smiles on their faces. Edward (Robbie Jaworski) arrives and greets his parents, and Arthur does not let the chance pass to remind Edward of what he must do for their company.
Later on, Vincent approaches Jacqueline and Arthur. “I am doing as I promised. May nakausap na akong possible investor, and I’m sure by the end of the evening marami pang dadagdag dito.” Jacqueline is pleased by Vincent’s news; however, Arthur is not as impressed as his wife. “I will be more impressed kung mayroon nang taong nasa likod ng rehas sa pagkamatay ni Walter (Sam Milby),” he whispers, reminding Vincent that it remains a shadow that will follow him everywhere.
Vincent is not discouraged. “Dad, hindi naman ako natatakot sa anino na hindi akin. I’m sure lalabas din ang totoo,” he firmly tells Arthur, who urges him to prove it, warning that the investors’ night might be his last chance to redeem himself, and not cause any trouble at all. Vincent excuses himself and leaves his parents’ presence.
Vincent's fight to prove himself may be running out of chances. Don’t miss “The Alibi: Ang Buong Katotohanan” weeknights at 8:45PM on ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, A2Z, and Kapamilya Online Live on YouTube and Facebook. Stream episodes seven days ahead on iWant.
