Claudia (Sofia Andres) drives Vincent (Paulo Avelino) out of their own home in the March 25 episode of “The Alibi.”
Vincent goes fishing while on a call with his daughter, Bea (Ayesha Bajeta), and the two express their familial love for each other. However, the moment is interrupted when Norman (Marvin Yap) calls Vincent, prompting him to end the conversation with Bea. Vincent knows exactly that Norman needs something from him, and indeed, Norman tells him about information they received from one of the resort staff who claimed to have seen Vincent inside Walter’s (Sam Milby) villa the night he died.
“Gaano siya kalayo sa villa, may video?” Vincent asks. Norman replies that the security cameras at the time had malfunctioned due to the typhoon. “I hope you’re not implying things na hindi niyo kayang patunayan. Sinabi ko na sa inyo kung nasaan ako nung gabing yun. So bakit hindi matibay na ebidensya ang iharap niyo sa’kin?” Vincent urges Norman and the authorities to look for the real suspect.
Later on, Vincent arrives home only to find Fiona (Alora Sasam) and Claudia packing up his belongings. “Hindi kami ang aalis, ikaw,” Claudia tells him. Vincent finds the idea absurd, but Claudia explains, “Hindi ako papayag to stay with you in one roof because I don’t feel safe.” Vincent insists that he will take Bea with him, but Claudia stops him, reminding him of the possible danger their daughter could face.
Claudia adds that she will do everything to protect their child until Vincent has proven his innocence. “Wala pang napapatunayan, bakit ba kating-kati ka bumitaw?” Vincent asks, adding, “Ginawa ko ang lahat to save this marriage.” Claudia fires back that she also tried everything to keep their relationship from crumbling, but now she can no longer hold it together. “You can’t save everyone, not even yourself,” she tells him. With no other choice, Vincent leaves their home carrying his bags.
