Greta (Lorna Tolentino) reflects on her emotional talk with Liam (Donny Pangilinan), who convinced her to face her crimes in the February 26 episode of “Roja.” With the police after her, Greta manages to escape the hospital premises and hide in one of her properties. She changes her clothes and takes a shower, yet worry and guilt remain evident on her face.
In a series of flashbacks, Liam asks Greta on why she orchestrated the La Playa Roja siege, reminding her of all the casualties. Greta recalls telling Liam how desperately she needed money to pay off her debts, “Wala nang ibang paraan. ’Yon lang ang naisip ko.” She breaks down in tears. “Hindi ’to pera, Ma! Buhay ng tao natin!” Liam shouts, growing even more enraged.
Later, in a dimly lit room, Greta remembers the last time she spoke with Liam. “Maawa ka sa’kin,” she cries, accusing him of no longer caring for her since he attempts to surrender her to the authorities. Liam tries to make her understand his decision, “Sinusuko kita sa pulis dahil ’yon ang tama,” he says.
He added that Greta and Magnus (Raymond Bagatsing) raised him to hold others accountable whenever something was not right. “Ma! Sumuko ka na!” Liam adds, but Greta remains unconvinced, insisting that he should let their family start over somewhere the cops would never find them. Liam does not falter, replying, “Gagawin mo pa kaming mga kriminal.” Remembering all of this, tears well up in Greta’s eyes.
