MANILA -- Actress Kai Montinola said she remains open to working with any on-screen partner, emphasizing her commitment to her craft and professional growth.
Since leaving the “Pinoy Big Brother” house, Kai Montinola has expanded her fanbase, with some groups centered on specific pairings, including her ship with fellow housemate Jarren and “Roja” co-star Kyle Echarri.
Some fans have also recently taken note of Montinola’s potential on-screen chemistry with Andres Muhlach, who was named Male Youth Icon of the Year at PAFTA, where she took the award in the female category.
“Ako naman, I believe in my profession. I’m open to working with anyone — I’m not closing any doors,” Montinola said in an interview held during the first PAFTA awards. “I believe in what I’m doing, and wala akong tinatapakan.”
Montinola has been praised for her improving acting skills in “Roja,” as well as her on-screen chemistry with Echarri. According to her, the project made them closer friends.
“Kyle has been a great friend of mine since 'MMK.' After 'Roja,' I think our friendship really strengthened,” she said. “I’m looking forward to more projects if they come. I’m just glad I was able to build a genuine friendship with him.”
