Greta (Lorna Tolentino) pleads with Liam (Donny Pangilinan) to spare her from her crimes and to start over their family with Magnus (Raymond Bagatsing) in the February 24 episode of “Roja.”
When Greta runs away from the authorities and makes her way back to the hospital to hide, Liam persists in following her. He convinces her to face her crimes, especially for the sake of the victims and the lives lost in the siege. However, Greta refuses to surrender.
Hearing the explosion coming from the basement set off by Emil (Joel Torre) and his armed men to escape through the tunnel, Liam and Greta rush in panic. Liam grabs Greta to lead her out, but Greta continues to beg him not to turn her over to the police. “Kailangan ko ’tong gawin, Ma. I'm sorry.” Liam tries to carry Greta, but she drags him down to the floor.
Greta runs farther ahead, with Liam following close behind. They both reach the hospital basement, coughing from the thick dust stirred up by the blast. “Wala ka nang matatakbuhan, Ma. Sumuko ka na,” Liam says. Greta kneels before him, “Parang awa mo na, anak. Magsimula tayo ulit. Ikaw, ako, at ang papa mo. Umalis tayo. Pumunta tayo sa lugar na walang nakakaalam.” She continues to plead, but Liam remains resolute.
“Naririnig mo ba ’ng sarili mo, Ma?” Liam presses, adding, “Gagawin mo pa kaming mga kriminal.” As they both cough from the dust and smoke scattered by the explosion, Greta suddenly loses consciousness, sending Liam into a brief panic. Then, a gunshot rings out from the other side of the basement. Liam leaves Greta lying on the ground and rushes where the gunshot came from.
