After Akira Morishita stole his original icon James Reid, Jason Dy ended up doing a Michael Bolton impression in the latest episode of "Your Face Sounds Familiar."
Jason admitted that Bolton's skill set was very different from his own, and the first challenge was adjusting his voice to sound huskier like the legendary crooner. Even his co-performers tried to mimic a raspy voice and they all had to claw their way through. He joked it might’ve been easier to copy Rufa Mae Quinto instead, which he actually did just to bring some laughter!
Back to the main task, even mentor and guest juror Klarisse De Guzman admitted that anyone assigned to impersonate the renowned American musician would definitely face difficulty. Klarisse shared that she had already noticed Jason's struggle during their mentoring session, but she believed he could pull it off, and he did by making up for the vocal strain with subtle nuances to sell the performance.
"'Yan ang masarap bilang performer," guest Karla Estrada commented, "Kahit alam mong mahirap, kahit alam mong hindi mo kakayanin... tayo naman ay nabubuhay sa challenges... Ano pa ba ang kailangan nating patunayan, eh magaling ka naman talagang mang-aawit."
