Jarlo Base continues to prove his versatility as he took on another music icon outside his usual genre, this time going sexy while channeling Enrique Iglesias on "Your Face Sounds Familiar."
Physically, Jarlo already had the build and foundation, thanks to his fit physique. But the real challenge was nailing the voice of the King of Latin Pop while performing "Bailamos."
"Nakita ko 'yung struggle mo nang kaunti sa voice," was the honest comment of guest judge Karla Estrada, but she still praised him for finishing the performance without losing his confidence. She also noted that Jarlo's natural sexiness came through not just on the outside, but from within, much like Enrique’s.
Gary Valenciano also commended the ‘Breakout Crooner’ for being attentive to the mentors’ pointers, especially the movements taught by coach Nyoy Volante. As Gary observed, Jarlo managed to execute Enrique's signature on-stage gestures that elevated the number’s overall vibe.
Vocal mentor Klarisse De Guzman was also impressed with how well he captured Enrique’s sensuality, "Yung confidence mo, ibang-iba na talaga, Jarlo. Nakakatuwa... talagang ine-enjoy mo na 'yung stage."
