Olsen (Kyle Echarri) blames himself for the unfortunate death of Lolo Ben (Levi Ignacio) in the January 27 episode of “Roja.” While trying to save Olsen from a shootout with armed men, Lolo Ben was shot and killed. Earlier, Olsen and Lolo Ben had a brief argument about his refusal to make amends with Liam (Donny Pangilinan).
In the aftermath of the shootout, Olsen tried to talk to the unconscious Lolo Ben, telling him that he had finally made amends with Liam---something he knew would make him happy. Olsen held on to hope, until it came to a point when Lolo Ben passed away.
Olsen grieves as Liam and Luna (Maymay Entrata) try to comfort him. “Hindi ko siya naipaglaban,” he says, recalling the moment Lolo Ben was shot. “’Yun ang masakit sa akin… Namatay siya dahil sa’kin, para sa akin. Ang sakit.” Overcome with despair, he breaks down in tears.
Olsen could do nothing but cry in regret, knowing he would never get to talk to Lolo Ben again. “Hindi ko na makakasama ’yung lolo ko,” he sobs. Liam and Luna embrace him in comfort, and together they weep with Olsen.
