Mia (Anne Curtis) and Matmat (Carlo Aquino) clash over Satsat, the doll Patrick (Joshua Garcia) once sewed for Matmat but later gave to Mia, leading to a tug-of-war between them. Their tugging builds until Mia pulls too forcefully, tearing Satsat apart, prompting Matmat to lash out with a pillow until the quarrel turns into a wild pillow fight.
Patrick comforts his “manong,” who doesn't want to get of the cabinet, still sulking over his broken doll and his growing resentment toward Mia. He vents his frustration by saying he no longer likes her, unlike then when she still looked pretty and wrote good stories. Patrick, however, senses that there is more to his brother’s sudden bitterness, so he nudges him to open up more until Matmat finally admits that he's bothered how Mia seems to take what belongs to him, and he fears she might eventually take away the other things or people he holds dear, like Patrick. It’s only when Patrick assures him that Mia cannot possibly take everything, and that no matter what happens she can never take Patrick himself away from him, that Matmat begins to calm down. He eventually agrees to let Mia have Satsat, but only on the condition that she never takes Patpat from him.
Mia steps out of her room and finds Patrick stitching Satsat back together. Curious, she asks how he manages to never lose his temper with his brother, to which he answers that he has simply grown used to being the one with longer patience and a greater capacity to give, since between the two of them, it is he who understands and expresses emotions more clearly. Mia smiles at this and teases that it’s exactly why they make a perfect match—because while she is destructive and loud, he is calm and steady, always the one who keeps her from exploding.
She insists on resting on his lap. Unable to refuse, he lets her until she falls fast asleep. Patrick carries her back to her bed, lays her down with care, and places Satsat beside her as if to guard her dreams.
