At OK Hospital, Vincent (Enchong Dee) finds the right timing to bring up a favor to Nanay Li (Rio Locsin), who is always more than happy to help others. He asks if he can rent a room in the compound that Nanay Li manages, a request that doesn’t sit well with Gemma (Kaori Oinuma).
Clearly, Gemma doesn’t want to cross paths with him again. Nanay Li tries to reason with her daughter, reminding her that Vincent’s gesture of bringing her home the night she got drunk deserves a little kindness in return. She even teases Gemma, asking if her resistance is out of embarrassment—or if it’s because she’s secretly conscious around Vincent, perhaps having a crush on him, and then jokes that there’s nothing wrong if Gemma decides to “sumakabilang-pogi.”
In the next scene, Vincent waits outside the OK Hospital mess hall to catch Gemma’s attention. She tells him to look for another rental instead of insisting on staying in their compound. But Vincent, ever straightforward, admits he only wants to be near her. His honesty earns him nothing but Gemma’s sass, though, rejecting him before he even gets the chance to woo her. Still, Vincent keeps his hopes up, advising Gemma to choose someone who won’t try to change who she is, and as a bonus, he adds that it wouldn’t hurt if that someone comes with muscles that could carry her when needed.
