While on duty at OK Hospital, Patrick (Joshua Garcia) crosses paths with Bella (Bianca De Vera) and Cynthia (Alora Sasam), who inquire if their literature classes are back since they spotted Mia (Anne Curtis) inside the facility. The two even remark that maybe Mia is there to visit her father, Samuel (Michael De Mesa), which they find odd because everyone knows she’s never been close to him.

Searching for Mia’s whereabouts, Patrick later finds her speaking with Elvie (Sharmaine Suarez), asking where Doc Anok (Bobot Mortiz) is so she can appeal her class suspension. Alarmed, he rushes over as he's worried that the exchange might trigger Elvie again. But the patient insists on having Mia stay, saying she’s confused why Doc Anok keeps saying that the woman standing in front of her isn’t her daughter. Mia, however, reacts arrogantly, questioning what’s so confusing about it unless Elvie doesn’t recognize the face of her own child.

Patrick reprimands Mia, reminds her that Elvie is in a fragile state and such remarks will only do harm. Yet Mia doesn’t flinch, even blaming Elvie for the suspension of her classes after the patient fainted the last time they spoke. To ease the tension, Elvie volunteers to talk to Doc Anok herself so that Mia’s suspension may be lifted.

But Mia has another idea of how Elvie could make it up to her—by handing over the shawl she always wears, simply because she finds it beautiful. Patrick steps in again, knowing the item holds deep sentimental value for Elvie since it was a gift from her daughter before she passed away. Even then, Elvie agrees to part with it, saying she probably won’t be needing it anymore and that it could be her way of making amends with Mia.
